Referral program

The referral program gives every account its own invite code, and awards points once enough invitations are completed. Those points spend like any other points on the site.

Program policy

Every account has one referral code, shown on the "Invite a friend" page inside the account. The code goes into a signup link, and whoever signs up through it is recorded as invited by the owner of the code.

An invitation is not counted at signup. It counts once the invited person finishes verifying their account, so the account is active. Someone who stopped at the code screen is not a user yet, and counting them would let invitations be faked with addresses nobody confirms.

Points

Once the number of verified invitations reaches 20, the owner of the code is awarded 400 points, once.

The award is granted once per threshold. If the threshold is later raised, a new award becomes due when the new number is reached, without re-granting the earlier one.

The points appear under "My points" with the reason "referral bonus", and count towards rankings and competitions like any other points.

Terms

The code is for personal use. Inviting accounts that belong to the same person, or accounts created only to pass the threshold, cancels the award and may suspend the account.

Posting the code where the site's policy does not allow it, or promising something the site has not promised, ends the program for that account.

The threshold and the points are set by the site administration and can change. A change applies to new invitations, and an award already granted is not taken back.
